Why should I use your resume/career service?

With over a decade of experience in recruiting, I’ve built teams for companies at every stage, from scrappy startups to billion-dollar giants. I’ve reviewed thousands of resumes, partnered directly with hiring managers, and led end-to-end hiring processes across multiple industries. This isn’t cookie-cutter advice or copy-paste resume templates. My approach is rooted in real-world experience—what actually works in today’s hiring landscape. I know what decision-makers look for, and I help my clients show up strategically and authentically to stand out. Anyone can write a resume. But crafting one that truly resonates with the right people—that takes someone who’s sat on both sides of the table. That’s what sets me apart. Are your services guaranteed?

While I bring years of experience and proven strategies to the table, job searching is a complex process—and some factors are simply out of our control. Timing, market conditions, location, and even things like ghost jobs or shifting priorities on the employer side can all play a role. I can’t guarantee specific outcomes, but what I can promise is this: you’ll walk away with the strongest possible tools, personalized support, and a clear strategy tailored to your goals.

Why are all sales final?

Due to the nature of my services and limited availability, all sales are final and refunds are not offered, even if you land a job or change your mind after submitting payment. This policy exists because work begins behind the scenes as soon as an order is placed. I block off time, review your materials, and begin prepping for your project right away. Even if you haven’t submitted documents yet, your spot has already been accounted for in my schedule, and when someone backs out, that time can’t always be reallocated. That said, I understand that life happens—so if you'd like to transfer your purchased service to a friend, colleague, or loved one, just reach out and I’m happy to help make that switch.

What if I don't submit documents within 24 hours of purchase?

I provide estimated turnaround times based on my current workload at the time your order is placed, and I do my best to make those timelines as accurate as possible. That said, those estimates rely on receiving everything I need from you—your materials, intake form, and any relevant details—in a timely manner. If there’s a delay in getting that info over, your project may be pushed back by up to two weeks and will be rescheduled based on current availability at the time your materials are received.

What is the difference between a review and an edit?

A resume review is all about expert guidance—you’ll get detailed feedback on your resume, cover letter, and/or LinkedIn profile, with clear, actionable suggestions to help you refine and improve it yourself. I’ll provide insight on structure, clarity, tone, and overall impact, but the revisions will be up to you. This is a great option if you're looking for professional direction but want to stay hands-on with your materials. A resume edit, on the other hand, is a much more involved service. I’ll apply over a decade of recruiting experience to strategically revise and elevate your resume—using hiring expertise, research, and a deep understanding of what decision-makers are really looking for. I’ll refine the language, restructure sections, and create new content if needed, all with your specific goals in mind. If you're looking for a polished, professionally written resume that positions you to stand out and land interviews, this is the service for you.

Do you write resumes from scratch?

No, review and edit existing only. 

Does it cost more if I have multiple versions of my resume, extra materials or my resume is over 3 pages?

Yes... the cost for resume revisions assumes a "typical" edit in time spent to complete. Revisions that are more time consuming will require a higher cost to complete. If your resume is more than 3 pages and/or you are submitting more than one resume/document to provide info for the edited resume, please email us before purchase. Once received I can give you a quote.

What are the turn around times?

Estimated turnaround times (ETAs - typically 5 business days) are provided at the time of purchase, based on our current workload. Meeting the ETA depends on receiving all required documents and information promptly. Delays in submission may extend your delivery date by up to two weeks. If materials are late, the original ETA is no longer guaranteed, and your service will be rescheduled according to current availability. For Review services, only your initial submitted documents will be used. Revisions or replacement files cannot be accepted after submission, as your project moves into active production shortly after we receive your materials. Thank you for understanding.

Can I reschedule my call?

We’re unable to reschedule any calls within 24 hours of the appointment. If you need to make changes, please let us know as soon as possible so we can accommodate you!

I need my service sooner than the ETA listed. Is that possible?

Typically, no. Occasionally I can work outside of normal business hours if a service needs to be rushed. If you would like to inquire about special timing and pricing, please contact info@balamtalent.com

What format is needed for materials submitted?

Word is preferred, but PDF is ok as long as there is text and not graphics.

I purchased a review - can you review it again?

If you purchase a resume review and would like me to re-review it after you implement the suggestions, I offer follow-up reviews at a discount (within 30 days). If you have questions *about* the review, I will gladly answer those. But for people that would like that extra piece of mind, we offer follow-up reviews to see how you incorporated the review points, etc. If interested, email info@balamtalent.com

The turnaround time listed on my confirmation has passed, where is my review/edit?

If it is past the estimated completion time provided on your service at the time of purchase (the ETA is also indicated on your order confirmation email), your service HAS been completed and emailed back to you. If you do not see it in your inbox, please manually check *all* available folders, such as Spam, Promotions, Shopping, etc. If, for some reason, you do not see it after manually searching in your email folders, reach out to us, and we can re-send it.

I made my purchase now what?

Be sure to follow the directions that are listed on the service that you purchased. Each service has instructions listed, ie, what to send, where, and when. The instructions are also on your order confirmation that is automatically generated and emailed to you upon purchase. Don't see it? Be sure to check your spam.
